Just over five years ago, my husband and I decided to ignore my cat allergy and adopt a rescue cat. We'd been thinking about it for a while, and at last decided we were grown up enough to take the plunge so along to Battersea in Old Windsor we went. After a little while of saying hello to the cats, we caught each other's eye and knew we had to meet one resident in particular. It was love at first sight.
Milly had been there for 3 months. She was 9 years old and had been blind from birth. She was called 'The Escape Artist' as whenever her door was opened, she would make a break for freedom. Seeking advice on how best to care for a blind geriatric, we insisted on meeting her. As soon as we did, she gave my husband a bit of a love chew. She does this from time to time with varying degrees of aggressiveness depending on who you are, but this first one definitely meant "Take me home, thank you". So, we did.
Milly became the lady of my manor. In order to say thank you for the care and love that all our cats receive in the Uk,
£1 from every cat bed sold will be donated to our local charity Bath Cats and Dogs Home.
I have always had a passion for encouraging ethical sourcing, as well as products that use natural materials yet do not compromise on quality. My love for travel resulted in a trip to Nepal where I discovered these incredible creations.
My husband and I bought one back for Milly. Being blind, she seemed attracted to it instantly as a result of the fragrance from the nature of the lambs wool. With a lot of research and a desire to share these wonderful creations, I took the plunge.
My aim for this journey is to sell these products to support the skilled craftswomen of Nepal, as well as to provide somewhere comfy for our floofs to sleep.
Most importantly though, I want this venture to be an opportunity to not only support the women of Nepal, but to give back to those incredible charities here in the UK, that are caring for and loving our furry family members through donations.

Being able to say a huge thank you to them all means a lot to me.
